The full-day fishing charter from Quepos is the complete way to fish one of the world's top sportfishing destinations. With 8 hours on the water and an experienced Pacific captain at the helm, you access offshore grounds 20–40 miles from shore where the blue water holds high concentrations of Pacific sailfish, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and mahi-mahi.

Departing the Quepos Marina before dawn, the boat reaches the first productive grounds as the sun rises over the Costa Rican coastline. The captain reads the water constantly: tracking current edges on the sonar, watching for bird activity above bait schools, and monitoring fleet radio for reports from other boats. That local knowledge, built over decades, is what puts you on fish.

Pacific sailfish are the signature species of Quepos offshore fishing. These fish reach 8–9 feet in length and jump repeatedly on the strike, putting on acrobatic fights that most anglers only see in videos. On the best days, the captain finds large groups of sailfish corralling baitfish balls at the surface, a wildlife spectacle that also happens to be excellent fishing.
