This page explains what personal data we collect when you visit manuel-antonio-tours.com or book a tour with us, what we use it for and who else gets to see it. We keep this short because we collect very little.

Visiting the website
The website does not use a contact form, does not ask you to create an account and does not set any tracking or advertising cookies of its own.
Hosting. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). To deliver the pages, Cloudflare's servers process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. Cloudflare uses this for delivery and security, for example to block attacks.
Visitor statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit which pages. It works without cookies and does not build a profile of you or follow you across other websites.
Fonts. The fonts are stored on our own server. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font service.
Google Maps. Some pages show an embedded Google Maps map. When that map loads, your browser connects to Google (Google LLC, USA), which receives your IP address and may set cookies. This is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Links to other sites. We link to WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps. Nothing is sent to those services until you click the link. After that, their own privacy policies apply.
Booking a tour
You book with us by WhatsApp, email or phone. To arrange your tour we need some of the following: your name, phone number or email address, the date and tour you want, the number of people (and children's ages if relevant), your hotel or pickup point and anything we should know for the day, such as mobility needs.
We use this only to plan and run your tour, to stay in touch about it and, if you ask us, to help you with tickets or other tours. We never sell your data and we do not send newsletters or advertising.
Giving us these details is voluntary, but without a name and a way to reach you we cannot book or run a tour for you. By sending us your booking details, you agree that we use them as described on this page. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us.
WhatsApp. Most bookings run through WhatsApp Business, a service of WhatsApp LLC (Meta, USA). Your messages are end-to-end encrypted, but WhatsApp processes your phone number and usage data under its own privacy policy. If you prefer, you can book by email or phone instead.
Our guides. The guides who lead your tour work for us. They receive the details they need for the day, such as your name, group size and pickup point.
Park tickets. If we arrange Manuel Antonio National Park tickets for you, we only pass on the names or ID details that the park authority (SINAC) asks for, if it asks for any.
Payments. If you pay by credit card, the payment is handled by a payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
How long we keep your data
We delete booking chats and contact details within 12 months after your tour, unless you book with us again. Payment and invoice records are kept for as long as Costa Rican tax law requires.
Your rights
Under Costa Rica's data protection law (Ley 8968) and, if you live in the European Union, the GDPR, you can ask us at any time to tell you what data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Just send an email to [email protected] and we will reply free of charge within 5 business days. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Costa Rica that is PRODHAB (Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes).
Changes
If the way we handle data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
